PEN is committed to enhancing the independent professional optometrist's ability to compete in a rapidly changing eyecare marketplace. Founded in 1988 by the California Optometric Association, Vision West was created by independent OD’s for independent OD’s and has over 3000 active members nationwide. Vision West is the largest supporter of Organized Optometry in our Industry and is endorsed by 15 state associations and groups nationwide. 

With Vision West there is no contract, no cost to join  and no purchase minimums. VisionWest offers several unique Business Service vendors to assist doctors in their practice, in addition to their many optical vendors. Vision West passes 100% of the vendor discount through to its members and charges a monthly
admin fee, based on purchase volume.

Florida Optometric Association (FOA) - florida.aoa.org

The mission of the Florida Optometric Association is to advance and promote the quality, availability, accessibility of primary eye care and related health care of Florida's citizens; to represent the profession of optometry; to enhance and promote the independent and ethical decision-making of its members; and to assist and enable optometric physicians to practice their profession so as to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP) - www.njsop.org

On March 28, 1903, some 100 men gathered to form the New Jersey State Optical Society, forerunner of the present New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. While the name has changed, our goals are the same as those set forth by our founders more than 100 years ago.

The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians is dedicated to advancing the profession of optometry and serving optometrists in meeting the eye care needs of the public. NJSOP is focused on improving the quality and availability of vision care.

NJSOP fulfills this objective by providing reliable and current information regarding eye care and health care policies. One of its most important responsibilities is to educate the public to enhance and ensure competent, quality patient care along with promoting the importance of routine comprehensive eye exams. Additionally, NJSOP assists members in conducting their practices successfully in accordance with the highest ethical standards of patient care and efficiency.

Independent Doctors of Optometry (IDOC) - www.idoc.net

IDOC (Independent Doctors of Optometric Care) is a leading group of independent, private practice Optometrists delivering a complete range of Optometric eye care services. As the pre-eminent practice development group in the industry, IDOC is dedicated exclusively to making independent optometric practices more successful.

The KOA’s mission is to promote, advance and insure the viability of the practice of optometry for the benefit of its members and the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. To insure that the voice of optometry is heard!

Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) - www.oaop.com

Doctors of optometry comprise the nation’s largest eye care profession, treating the eyes of millions of Americans. As independent primary health care providers, optometric physicians examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye and associated structures as well as diagnose related systemic conditions.

With more than 500 optometrists in Oklahoma, optometric physicians dedicate their careers to protecting vision and providing quality eye care to their patients. Oklahoma optometrists are equipped with the latest information and technology to diagnose, treat and manage eye diseases and conditions.

The mission of the OAOP is to enhance the educational background and cultivate opportunities for professional practices while fostering the exchange of ideas within the profession of optometry to achieve the common goal of improved eye care for the citizens of Oklahoma.

Eye Recommend is a non-profit, co-operative network consisting of independent, progressive-thinking optometrists who provide full Optometric services to their patients. Each Eye Recommend practice is independent but as a group the Network shares a common vision.

Each doctor maintains the highest standards of education, technical skills, and professional ethics, keeping patient welfare as their top priority. Members of Eye Recommend deliver comprehensive patient centered eyecare integrated with high quality, high value vision products. Eye Recommend's mission is to provide a network, strategies, and tools that will enable Eye Recommend practices to deliver complete patient centered vision care through independent Optometry.

AzOA - Arizona Optometric Association (AzOA) - www.azoa.org

The Arizona Optometric Association is committed to helping optometrists in Arizona serve the welfare of the citizens of Arizona and promoting the profession of optometry. The AzOA web site includes educational information on a variety of vision and eye conditions as well as links to local doctors who can provide comprehensive eye care from infancy to late in life.

Many AzOA Optometrists donate their time to provide vision exams, education and to promote our profession to ensure the public has access to eye care at every stage of life in programs such as InfantSEE, the Diabetes walks and expos, Health Safari, and the Special Olympics. AzOA members have a passion for their work as well as for public health!
