Technical Tips: Uploading Photos To Your Site

There are many places within EyeCarePro where you can upload a graphic or photo to your site - the logo on the home page, pictures or clipart throughout the site, and photos of doctors and staff. Instead of adding your own photos, we also have clipart to help with getting the visual impact on a page. All of out clipart was taken by professionals, in an actual clinic.

There are several ways to resize an image and make it suitable for your site. We can do it for you if necessary! Any graphics editor can resize a photo, and all of them should also be able to save it in a web friendly format. We recommend you save the image as a JPEG (.jpg) for photos, as .png for logos and clipart.

We have found that logos in the range of 150 to 200 pixels wide work the best, and images can be anywhere from around 200 to just over 500 pixels in width for photos. What about quality and file size? Well, we prefer maximum quality, of course. Only photo less than 500 KB can be uploaded to your EyeCarePro site.

Adding a photo, or logo, is a quick process. If you want to add a photo of one of your staff, for example, then you would navigate to the page for that specific person, and click the link to "add your own" image. A new window pops up in which you choose the image to be put on the site. Save it and it gets uploaded and placed on your page. That's it!

“The rewards will follow, so start encouraging your patients to use your web site today.”
